Jigsaw 4000, developed and published by Ami Games, is a basic jigsaw puzzle collection for PC. It features thirty pictures in the trial version, and the good number of 150 pictures in its full version. You will see eye-catching photographs, in high resolution and with good quality, of different thematics, like animals, landscapes, cars, historic buildings and many others.
With average graphics, and rather unappealing colors, this game has all the essential features required by a straightforward jigsaw puzzle. That is, you can record your best time, rotate the pieces, save your current puzzle to complete it later, the possibility of using your own pictures and more puzzle packages to download in the full version. There are six difficulty levels, the easiest with nine pieces and the hardest with only 64 pieces, what make it too easy even for a casual gamer.
The game mechanics is the classic drag and drop style. You have to click on a piece and snap it with its matching part. It is very simple, however, there is a problem with the mouse, that makes it inconstant and sluggish to respond. To sum up, it can be fun for young children or beginners, as it is really easy, but most gamers may find it rather basic.
